Multimedia Szajna Festival – Rzeszów

The Festival aims at showcasing accomplishments of multimedia art, created with the use advanced, cutting-edge electronic technology:
a. computer animations and video art – competition
b. computer graphics – competition
Its other goals include|: establishing video flies which will collect registered artistic events; creating a permanent website presenting works of audio-visual art in the form of video clips which will make it possible to visit virtual gallery. The website will have a logging counter and links to our partners’ and artists’ web pages, as well as information about similar artistic events in Poland and abroad.

The competition will accept works created in 2006-2008
Ad 1a – in the form of multimedia DVD files with attached instruction regarding their application during the showcase in the gallery space. The materials will also be sent to the members of the jury, therefore six copies of the works are required (6 DVDs)
Ad 1b – computer graphics works – prints + electronic files (CD, DVD)

Information included in the participation forms will be treated as info resource for publications related to the festival.

6. International Jury called by the organizer will award Statuettes and financial prizes (gross amounts):
Ad 1 – 1st prize – 5,000 PLN, 2nd prize – 3,000 PLN,, 3rd prize – 2,000 PLN.
The jury has the right to decide about a different distribution of the prizes.
7. The winners will be invited to Rzeszów for two days (travel costs to Poland are covered by the invited participants, the costs of stay are covered by the organizer of the exhibition). The authors of qualified works will receive the catalogue and certificate of participation.

Works sent for the exhibition become the organizers’ property. Foreign mail shipments should be marked with labels: “printed & recorded matter, no commercial value”.
Organizers receive the right to use and reproduce the works in the exhibition catalogue and other promotional materials of the Biennial, free of charge. In each case the names of authors of works or multimedia projects will be published. The multimedia works will not be copied and distributed without the authors’ consent .
